Prom & Occasion

Coming soon!

Hey, so we have some exciting plans for the summer, the first of which is our brand new Bridal Suite.

I’ve been eyeing up this space since I first opened 4 years ago and I couldn’t give up the chance to take it when it became available. This room will give us the whole floor in the building and the opportunity to give you and even more luxurious space to say yes to the dress with a beautiful new Bridal Suite & even more dresses to choose from!

I’m currently decorating the space and hope to have it ready sometime in May – so watch this space!

Two bridal looks in one!

Hands up who fancies a day to night bridal look without having of buying two wedding dresses?

Well we have lots of gorgeous gowns that we can add detachable elements to such as sleeves or belts.

We also have gowns like our brand new Calla gown (pictured) that come with a detachable overskirt. Stunning eh?

These styles are a great idea so that you have the drama of the skirt as your walk down the aisle, but then you can take that off for your evening reception and your ready to party the night away with that sassy number! why would you not… haha!

We offer payment plans!

Hey Bridey’s… do you want to go and find your dream wedding dress but worried about having to pay the full amount right now? Well don’t worry, we never ask for the full amount of your gown straight away! (unless your wedding date is only a few weeks away!)

Depending on your wedding date, our normal process is to take a 50% deposit and then your balance is then payable when your dress is due to arrive in the boutique.

However, we get that this is sometimes also too much of an outlay on top of all of your other wedding expenses. We can therefore, depending on your wedding date, offer to take a small deposit (usually £250) and then you will pay a monthly payment up to your dress arriving in the boutique.

For example if your wedding is in May 25 and you order your dress this month, the dress costs £1500 you will pay a £250 deposit and then 10 monthly instalments of £125 per month.

If this feels like something you’d like to do, then book your appointment today.

But what if I say yes now & change my mind?

Hey Brides, so those of you that have already done some research, will know that bridal boutiques advise that you start your wedding dress shopping 12 to 18 months before your wedding day, but do you know why?

Well, it’s because that most designers will take anything from 4 to 8 months to produce your dress. On top of that, you will need to factor in alterations with a seamstress. Wedding dresses are made to a size, not to your exact body measurements, therefore your dress is most likely to need some tweaks, especially the length, to make it a perfect fit.

Your alterations will take approximately 6 weeks, sometimes longer depending on how busy the seamstress is and how much work you need doing, as it’s a careful step by step process.

Depending on your wedding date, we can also help with payment plans so that you can spread the cost to help with your budgeting.

So giving yourself plenty of time will make the experience a little less stressful. I know what your thinking, but what if I commit to a dress and then I change my mind? I promise, that is very unlikely to happen. When you fall in love with your wedding dress, its a different type of feeling  from anything else and I promise you will still love it when you put it back on. Plus, we don’t do pushy sales here, you’re body language will tell us if it’s your dress or not!

2024 brides that still haven’t said yes, don’t worry, we can always help you out! We work with some amazing designers that can do rush orders and they also carry some stock dresses.  We also have an amazing off the peg range which are dresses that you can take away on the day if needed!

OMG! We’re delighted to have been nominated for this award again.

You can imagine the tears the first time I was nominated in my first year of opening, well they were just as freely flowing on our 3rd year in a row.

This means so much to me as this award is purely voted for by our brides. I am grateful for each and everyone of you.

I would love the chance to get to the fancy pants final in May, as it means that Liv and I will get to wear a posh frock too. So pretty please… if you are one of our gorgeous brides, will you give us your vote on the following link. Thank you so much for your support. xx

Are wedding dress sizes different to High Street?

Hey brides, how are you? how is it almost September already?

This month we were super excited to feature in Wedding Industry News, giving our advice on wedding dress sizes.

It’s true that they differ vastly to the high street in that in the some cases they are much smaller. Not great right…?

So when choosing our designers, we make sure that they cater for all sizes right up to a 32 and that their wedding gowns offer great structure, without compromising on design.

We don’t have a ‘curvy’ section as we want you to be able to try on the dresses that you want to try, however, we do have to cater for all sizes, which is not always easy.  So when choosing the sizes we stock for each gown, we look at the style & structure and then use our wedding dress knowledge to know what body type will suit that style best. We also know how to make the dress still look amazing, even if it’s not your size.

We also try our best not to talk about sizing, as what really matters is finding you the dress that you feel your all time best in…!

If you have any questions or concerns about sizing, please get in touch as this is something you should not be worried about.

Have a great day!

Love Jo xx
